About Katherine

Katherine O’Neill has been sharing instrumental and vocal music with others since age nine. As a freelance performer and music educator Katherine has performed for several decades at venues including concert halls, sports arenas, outdoor festivals, conferences, classrooms, medical facilities, restaurants, pubs, churches, synagogues, retirement homes, hospice settings, recording studios, private homes and corporate and charitable functions. Katherine, for many years, was business manger and performer with the Celtic band, “Celtic Gathering” and produced their compact disc recording, “Another Door Opens”. Katherine enjoys experience also as a conductor of instrumental and vocal ensembles.

Katherine’s credentials include a degree in Music from Indiana University School of Music, Bloomington Indiana and a degree from Suffolk University, Boston, Massachusetts. She also has credentials as a Certified Health Care Musician as a graduate of the Harp Therapy Training Program. Katherine has also been licensed by the RIDOH and NAEMT as an Emergency Medical Technician, volunteering for several years with her community Fire/EMS department.

Katherine’s intent, through harp therapy, is to bring peace to each situation she encounters and add to each patient’s comfort and healing through and with the music of the harp.
